It really does feel like a lot of the people here are long term. There was a noisy tailgate party right outside our room, and always, always people sitting outside and watching you come and go.
If you go in expecting very little, this place will not disappoint you.
This hotel is entirely serviceable. However, it seems like a large number of people staying here are long term guests. This isn't necessarily a problem, but it doesn't make me feel very comfortable having people stare at me as I go in my room. They did let me have my dog and cat with no charge, which is nice. Just be sure you're honest and ask before doing, because their official policy is only one animal per room.
When we arrived (4pm) we were told 2 of our 3 rooms we’re ready and given keys. (We booked all of our rooms at the same time and told we couldn’t have rooms next to each other) When we went to the first room (around 4:30) there were still people living in it. Yes. Living. (Room was trashed). We put our stuff in the second room and called the front desk to ask about getting a clean room that no one was in. They told us the other rooms weren’t available yet. At around 5pm they gave us two new rooms (still not near each other). When we checked in there were only two towels in each bathroom (rooms slept 4 people) so we called the front desk to get more. 45 minutes later we called again because we hadn’t gotten the towels. The front desk agent said “I already sent them up..I don’t know why you haven’t gotten them yet” on checkout day (we were never told what time checkout was) they knocked on our door at promptly 11am telling us we needed to get out. Considering the fact that we weren’t able to check in until an hour and a half after we were supposed to I asked the man if we could have a later checkout because one of the people staying with us hadn’t made it back to the room and we were trying to get organized. He again told me checkout was at 11 and left. 30 minutes later he was back knocking on our door. I again told him I was sorry I was just trying to figure out where the rest of our group was. (Would have been a lot easier if we had been able to have rooms even remotely near each other) when I found our third person she came back to the room and immediately started packing. At noon they started calling the room (the phone rang for over 5 minutes before they hung up and then called again) at 12:30 pm the front desk woman came up to rudely tell us we needed to get out of the room and then stormed away before I even had a chance to tell her the situation. We finished packing and picking up the room and started loading the car (and warming it up because it’s -3 here right now) the man that had orginally came up to tell us to get out cane back up and told me that it was way too late and we needed to leave. At this point I was fed up and told him I didn’t appreciate them pushing us out when we had so much trouble at check in. He then continued to tell me we needed to get out. I told him we would be out in 5 minutes shut the door. We left the hotel at 1pm. (Leaving them over 2 hours to clean the rooms before check in) I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone. The people that work here are rude and unprofessional. It’s a good price but not worth it.
Agitated passing through from NC!
This hotel is strange.
Enjoyed my stay for 2 days but had to leave abruptly. They expect you to be able to pay for a nights stay and place another nights stay down as a deposit, crazy! When I couldn't come up with double the price of a nights stay I was told that I had to leave. They didn't do it on my 1st nights stay, so I don't get it. "There were no reasons I know of that caused them concern."
The room itself worked for what we needed. It's got cigarette burns in.. everything, but it did appear clean. The water pressure is good and the hot water works.
I give it one star because the room itself its great! But the hotel staff are not! Its sad really, because your dealing with staff who are morally wrong in everyway. Not only that overall unprofessional and they are the only people who can help you.
They don't do enough about noise, and they're lenient for pet owners. If you have a dog, this is great, but if you don't, you might hear some dogs in the night. There was a police chase nearby our first night, a woman who shouted at her children in the middle of the night, and at least two dogs that I heard the first night. The second was a tailgate party until about 1am.
What's the saddest is ALL of the staff is this way and the worst is you can not enjoy your stay!!! I've been praying for these people, because it doesn't have to be like that, so I pray. As you should if you choose to stay there. May God be with you..
